About Us

Skills Canada New Brunswick is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the promotion of the career opportunities in the trades and technical careers to youth.

Skills Canada New Brunswick began operations in April 1998 and organized their first provincial competitions in 1999. In 2012, New Brunswick will be presenting 34 different qualifying competitions in such trade areas such as Carpentry, Welding, Plumbing, Automotive Service, Esthetics, Sheet Metal Work, Electrical Installations, and many more.

The Gold Medallists from these provincial contests will then have the opportunity to represent NB at the Skills Canada National Competition which will be held in Edmonton, AB in late May 2012.

Young students will compete head-to-head in their respective fields against winning students from all other provinces and territories.
