Every 2 years, the WorldSkills competitions are held in different areas of the world to showcase young students aged 22 and under competing in trades and technologies.

The past WorldSkills event was held in Calgary, AB in September 2009.  The next event will be in London, England in October 2011.

The Skills Canada National Competition in 2010 served as a part of the qualifying components for Team Canada member selection for 2011.
